A sociopath is a person who has no remorse for their mistakes, or anything else. They usually use the "easy way out", such as over using drugs and drinking. They usually do things spontaneously without much thought. More popularly, they are charming on the surface but have a manipulative personality, usually mentally abusive to the people around them. Significantly, they always believe they are right and never take in someone else's opinion or feelings.
I borrowed all that from the internet. When I read it, it hit me hard. I have been super close friends to a sociopath for the past 4 years. I always knew her behavior was "off", but I didn't know there was a name for it! And I didn't think she'd ever attack me.
You would think a 43yr old woman with two kids and a husband would have her shit together. Right? Maybe I'm naive and a bit too hopeful. Our friendship ended a few days ago and I am dumbfounded by her treatment to me, and fucking furious...I still have allowed her words to penetrate me. My brain is like a swarming bee hive. The things she said just going over and over and over in my head.
"I question your parenting."
"If you spent more time with your daughter..."
"Your daughter is a liar."
She attacked me, but what bothers me the most is she attacked my 11yr old daughter. She abused us. Verbally abused us. Via text and email this "friend" of mine bashed us to a pulp. I feel like I've been beaten up. I've obviously kept the texts/emails to myself, away from my daughter. She doesn't need to read her hateful words.
What happened? How did this argument start? IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER. What matters is you should never talk to someone the way she did to me. How can people be so vile and disgusting towards another person? I don't understand. I just don't understand.
